A marathon on the hill of Wilsonhill was organized for the second time on December 25 by the Valsad Racers Group. 300 runners participated in two categories of 12 and 25 kilometers in it. Runners came from other states including Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat in this marathon. A runner from Kenya also became the center of attraction by joining the Wilsonhill Marathon.
In the morning, Ashish Kapadia, the race director of the marathon, gave all the information and advice regarding the marathon. Then the marathon was started by flag off from Dharampur MLA Arvindbhai Patel. Hydration points were also arranged at every one and a half kilometers so that the runners do not face any problem. Two ambulances were also arranged by the Valsad Racers Group at Marathon Road. Runners enjoyed the thrill of running early in the morning amid the picturesque pristine beauty of the hills. All runners were felicitated with medals and trophies.
