Surendrabhai Parekh, father of Gujarat Samachar journalist Apurva Parekh, passed away at 7.52 am on the morning of 10th november.
Mr Parekh passed away at the age of 76 after a brief illness at his residence at Valsad.
A lover of literature, Surendrabhai, was constantly engaged in activities around literature. His love for reading continued till the end. His simple life inspired everyone around him.
His funeral took place at 1:00PM Wednesday, November 10, at his residence. Several city leaders reached his residence to pay their last respects to the gentle and loving soul.
