Parties are secretly organized every year at farm houses all over South Gujarat to celebrate New Year. The Surat Range Police have set a special watch on these parties this year. Not only liqour parties, but also parties that do not serve alcohol are banned by the police this time. The police will keep a constant and specific watch in the rural area.
Surat Range IG Rajkumar Pandian told the Times Report that a vigil would be kept on all rural areas especially for the New Year celebrations. For which, special instructions have been given to the police officers of Surat, Tapi, Navsari and Valsad districts. The sarpanchs of the villages where such farm houses are located have also been instructed by the police to remain vigilant. Avoiding corona has become especially necessary this year. Police have advised to stay away from such social gatherings if there is a risk of corona infection. If people still do such an event, the police will take legal action against them. Even if there is a party without alcohol, there will be a complaint against them for violating the declaration.
